Key West Florida

Accessible by boat, commercial airlines, your car or by bus, Key West is literally the end and beginning of the road… U.S. Highway 1 to be exact.  Only a scenic three and a half hour drive south of Miami, this historic highway takes you through the the entire archipelago of the Florida Keys and vasts amounts of of water – most notably the seven-mile bridge.

Key West enjoys a moderate year round climate, with highs in deep winter in the 70’s, and in mid-summer in the high 80’s.  Thanks to the climate, the United state’s southern most continental point (but is technically an island connected to the continent by a long over seas highway), is beaming with tropical vegetation like bougainvillea, coconut palms, banana trees and frangipani – Sloppy Joes, Duval Street in Key West

Key west is a very unique place in comparison to most US destinations.  From the bars and shops on Duval Street, to the sunset and sunrise parties on opposite sides of the island, there is a plethora of activities for families, outdoorsy types, history buffs, and water sports enthusiasts.

If you have never been, you are truly missing out. There is an activity for every person.
